Travel Advisory : COVID-19 

28th February 2021 Update

As of 28th Feb 2021 Auckland has moved into Alert Level 3 and the rest of New Zealand to Alert Level 2. All our locations across Auckland and New Zealand remain open and are following operating guidelines to suit.

Auckland: All our Auckland locations remain open and are providing a contactless service for collecting and returning vehicles. Our Auckland Airport Shuttle will operate with social distancing protocols in place which may cause some delays in this service. 

Christchurch and Queenstown: Our Christchurch and Queenstown branches remain open with increased COVID-19 protocols in place. Our Airport Shuttle services will operate with social distancing protocols in in place which may cause some delays in their services.


Rebooking / Cancellations: We understand the Alert Level changes may impact your travel plans, and we are here to be as accomodating as possible.


Direct Booking: If you have booked directly with Snap and need to rebook or cancel, please contact us.


Agency Booking: If you have booked via a third party booking agent, you will need to contact them dirrectly to discuss rebooking or cancelling. 

Book With Confidence - Special Waiver Of Normal Cancellation Policy

We’ve introduced some temporary flexibility into our cancellation policy to give our customers additional time and options around their upcoming hire. The normal cancellation policy will not apply to customers who have made bookings directly with Snap Rentals, meaning customers can cancel their trip anytime upto the point of vehicle collection. These new rules are available until further notice unless otherwise stated.

Customers who have booked via third party booking agents, will need to contact their agents to discuss their cancellation policies and credit policies.
