Yes we offer one-way minibus hire between any of our depots. Please note, additional charges may apply for one-way hires.

Absolutely, we offer minibuses for hire to business customers. If you are using the minibus as a one-off - please ensure that a credit card in the name of the hirer is provided, otherwise we will not be able to provide the van.

For repeat use business customers, contact our team to set up a business account with us. This will make hiring minibuses repeatedly a breeze for your team, with no credit card required and invoice payment.

Yes you certainly can, however as our minibuses are available for hire by the day, you will still be charged for the full 24 hour period.

Typically our minibus hire specials are for mid-week hires, or for one way hires when we need minibuses moved between our depots. Keep an eye on our deals page to nab a great deal!

There are typically three main costs that can be associated with hiring a minibus in New Zealand. These are daily hire rate, excess reduction & milage/kilometre charges. At Snap, you only have to worry about two of these, as all of our minibuses come with Unlimited KMs (in other words - you don't pay anything for mileage!). Pretty choice huh?

Daily Hire Rate

The daily hire rate refers to the cost of hiring the minibus itself for a 24 hour period. Typically the daily hire rate is more expensive in the weekends and lower mid-week - this is because there is significantly more demand for minibus hire over the weekends than during the week.

Excess Reduction

All minibus hire providers (and vehicle rental companies in general) will offer a base level of insurance which limits your liability for damage caused to the minibus during your hire period to a set amount. You may additionally opt to reduce your excess buy paying for excess reduction cover.


At Snap, we offer two excess reduction options. For an additional $34 per day, your excess can be reduced to $0 (vs $3,000) with no security bond required. Alternatively, you can reduce your liability to $500 ($500 security bond required) for an additional $29 per day.
At u-save, your kilometre charges are included as part of your minibus daily hire rate.
